Each of LBC’s Arts Integration Residencies brings an artist into the classroom to lead students through six interactive sessions, combining an art form and another academic content area, to dive deeper into learning. Residencies start at $700—full and partial scholarships are available! Additional fees may apply.


Residencies may be added to line-up. All information is subject to change.

Mastery Through Movement: Bringing English to life for Early Language Learners

Grades: PK-2
Subjects Covered: Dance, Drama, ELA
Use make-believe play to embody parts of speech, emotions, and stories.


Math Dance
Grades: K-3
Subjects Covered: Dance, Math
Link creative movement, dance, music, and imagination to explore math topics.


Drama, Not Trauma: Empowering the Inner Superhero
Grades: 1-8
Subjects Covered: Drama, SEL
Learn strategies through drama to prevent bullying and empower students’ inner superheroes.


Story Ninjas Improvised Tales:  A Costumed Approach to Narrative Creation
Grades: 2-8
Subjects Covered: Drama, ELA

Create and perform original stories inspired by costumes and props.


Environmental Conservation Theatre

Grades: 3-7

Subjects Covered: Drama, Science

Students explore environmental science through imagination and empathy, and share their discoveries through performance.

 

Exploring Historical Figures through Portraits and Papercraft

Grades: 3-12

Subjects Covered: ELA, Social Studies, Visual Art

Students use papercraft to create a mini-book reflecting on the story of a historical figure in comparison to themselves.


Using Comics to Understand Points of View

Grades: 4-7
Subjects Covered: ELA, SEL, Visual Art
Students will use cartooning and comics to develop stories and characters, exploring story structure, archetypes, and characterization.
