LBC expands after-school offerings to include ballet folklórico; donations matched!
|
Always aiming to increase access to the arts for more schoolchildren, this fall LBC launched a free, afterschool ballet folklorico dance program to inspire and empower more children through arts.
Based on the successful model of our Mariachi Program, LBC’s Ballet Folklorico Program now welcomes 26 students from grades 5-12. A few years ago, the Mariachi Program launched with similar numbers and has grown to more than 140 students today. Those mariachi students have traveled throughout the community and

beyond to share their excellence, and the program is seeing graduates move on to college careers. Now, with the culturally rich artform of ballet folklorico, we can further expand access to arts education for Sonoma County’s students.
Thanks to the Pecoraro Family Fund, donations to the program will be matched dollar for dollar, which means supporters can double the impact of their donation, empowering life-changing arts access for the youth of our community.
